Practises for the Worlds!

Saturday night broomball will now be every second Saturday starting Feb. 9/08 until the end of the season.
Next broomball nights will be Feb. 23 and March 8
Same time: 8:30pm - 9:30pm

Nov. 18/07
1.  Don't forget to bring your registration fee next week.  If you want to play in Provincials in February and in
the Worlds next year you need to register as a competitive player.

Competitive: $40
Non-Competitive: $20

If you decide to play non-competitive that is great, but if you decide later to
move up to competitive you have to pay another $40.

2.  Fund raiser: The women's team is hosting a bowling night. We want to work with the men's team to
Fund raiser some money for Provincials and worlds.  We are going to be hosting the fund raiser on Friday,
February 1st. Please book this date off.  We will have two games of bowling, burger/fries and a beer/wine
or pop for $20.  We will have tickets soon for everyone to sell.  We will also host a Silent Auction
and will be asking EVERYONE to donate something to the auction.

3.  Referee Course: We are hosting a referee course on January 19th/20th (Friday, Saturday). Cost is $80.
Please let me know if you are interested in taking the course, or know anyone else interested.

We still have room for a few more people for our coaching course if
you are interested. This weekend Friday 6-11, Saturday 10-3ish.

We need a volunteer to pick up the instructor on Friday at around
12:30 or 1 at the airport and drop him off in Burnaby. If you are
available, please let me know. Thanks Andrea

Saturday Night: 7:00 Meeting for volunteers for the Worlds! Meet at
BWC, please come out and help support us!

We are going to put in a team order for D-gel equipment. If you want ANYTHING, this is the time to order
because there probably won't be much more opportunity. We will put the order in by the end of October, so
you have 3 weeks to decide on what you want and to hand in the money.

  Paula has kindly offered to take the equipment order. Paula will have an order form at both a           
Monday night and a Saturday night drop in prior to the end of October. Please be ready to order.

I highly recommend that if you are a new player and  don't have your own shoes, that this is the time to put
in the order. The prices will be reasonable and the shoes last forever!(almost) lol.  We will have team
pricing for the equipment.  You can check everything out online at:


Thanks to Paula for doing the order!  Once we put the order in, it only takes 2 weeks to get shipment!

Coed Broomball Drop-in starts on Oct 13th and continues every Saturday after until Dec.15th.              
Then we will start again on January 12th.

Place: Burnaby Winter Club
Time: 8:30-9:30 NOTICE TIME CHANGE
Cost: $10

We won't be bringing all the equipment, so if you need anything you need to contact us prior to the
date and time.  Please bring friends, we need to get the sport growing so we can field 3 or 4 teams
for the worlds next year.

Please email me if you are going to attend so we know our numbers.

Please book off the first weekend of March 1/2 for Provincials.
